Today is my brother Benton's birthday. He just finished his first three weeks of OCS and could finally make contact with the outside world this past weekend. It was great to talk to him and hear that everything is going well. He said he gets in trouble at least once a day for laughing so it's good to know that nothing much has changed. (This is also the kid who got sent to the principal's office for smiling.) At least he's having fun!

He was smiling? There's no smiling in school. Actually, I had the crap scared out of me in First Grade. We were packing up to go home at the end of the day and I was in such a good mood, I was singing to myself, however we were supposed to silent like little mice. My teacher started writing an "L" on the blackboard (if she finished your whole name, that was TROUBLE). But then she proceeded to wright "LA" and I realized she was upset at Lauren for talking. Whew! Dodged a bullet!
Happy B-day Benton! I'm so glad you finally got to talk to him. AND, I am super excited that he is doing so well & still laughing!
