NYC in less than 24 hours

Last weekend I went to New York to meet up with my friends, Coleen and Mindy. Mindy lives in New York and Coleen was there for work and apparently any excuse to go to New York is fine with me! So I hopped on the bus, we drove through the snow squalls (of course this Texas girl had no idea what a squall is--it's a really intense snowstorm that lasts all of 30 seconds to a couple of minutes--and visibility is worse than in fog...good time to travel) and I made it with 30 minutes to spare before our dinner reservation.

We had dinner at Tao, a great Asian restaurant known for celebrity sightings. No celebrities, but we had some amazing sushi!

We were stuffed, but there's always room for dessert. Especially for a giant fortune cookie filled with mousse!


Since our reservation was at 6:30 we were ready to hit the town at 8:00. We walked around for a while, but didn't feel like staying out.

Col and I did take a picture in front of the infamous ESPNZone from our 2005 NYC trip. And no, we don't think it's cool, but we have some good memories from that trip.



And you know you're getting old when you'd rather go back to the hotel than go out! So we went back to the hotel, changed into pajamas, watched TV and just talked.

Mindy and I went to brunch the next morning and I got back on the bus to come back to Boston. Such a quick trip, but so much fun!
