You're from Texas and you hate country music?!

I get this question a lot here in Boston. I love alt country, folk, anything related, but my personal idea of torture is a Toby Keith concert. Just ask my friends about the Rascal Flatts concert I got guilted into going to... So some people were as equally confused when I got excited about this concert this past weekend. I just kindly explained the difference between alt country and country--one is good and one is bad. :)

It was definitely different than any music we would hear in Austin or Dallas, but it was definitely good. But I have to say the girl in braids, cowboy hat and full duster would have been out of place anywhere. Actually, maybe her inspiration literally came from the poster...
