Happy Belated Birthday Post

So I'm a lazy blogger. But without the software to download pictures from my camera I have to go to Kinko's. I pass the Kinko's every morning on my way to work, but actually remembering to go inside is more difficult than it seems. But anyway, we went to NYC for my birthday at the beginning of October. It was another quick trip, but it was a lot of fun!

The first stop off the bus was to get cupcakes. We had seen this place the last time we were in New York, but didn't actually get a cupcake because we had just eaten lunch. This time we made sure to eat cupcakes before lunch. This was the first year I haven't had my grandmother's red velvet cake for my birthday (I ask for the same cake and meal every year). So of course, I had to get the red velvet cupcake.

Then, since we had nothing planned for the day, we walked around. And I'm pretty sure we came across the awful wedding dress shop that Carrie and Miranda went to in Sex & the City. Remember the one?? These dresses were awful. Here is one with faux flowers for the romantic bride...

A sheer dress for the scandalous bride (sorry for the blur)...

And for the practical bride...a dress shaped raincoat. Complete with train. I didn't get a picture of that one, but it was hilarious.

Walking around...this picture looked much cooler in my head.

Worley, you can appreciate the awesomeness of this picture.

We went to dinner at a mexican food restaurant (it was good, but no Tex-Mex) and then met up with some of Erin's friends to go dancing.

Apparently, we think we're cool.

We were supposed to get keys to stay in my boss' old apartment (she just moved from Manhattan). Uhhhh...but it took us a few hours to get the keys. Then when we did get the keys only one of them worked. So we spent a couple of hours in the lobby of her apartment. And by lobby I mean closet.

Our view from the room.

We took the 8am bus back to Boston and slept for the rest of the day! I love traveling with no plans.

I do love the awesomeness of that picture! Thanks for the shout out! I cannot wait until we get there. We must take pictures of our eyeballs, of course.
